Sardinian restaurants ban families from using phones at the table
Reported bythe Guardian ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
Fifteen restaurants in Sardinia have joined a one-month pilot scheme called 'A tavola senza schermi' (At the table without screens), spearheaded by the island's children's ombudsman, that requires families to put away phones and devices during meals in exchange for 'reunion kits' with games designed to spark conversation between parents and children.
This is a one-month pilot with 15 volunteer restaurants; longer-term impact is unknown.
