Scientists discover a natural compound that could protect the brain from too much salt
Reported byScienceDaily ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
Japanese researchers at Fujita Health University found that LPC70, a soy-derived compound, protected mice from high blood pressure, memory problems, and social behavior changes caused by excessive salt consumption, operating through effects on prostaglandin signaling in the brain and kidneys.
This research was conducted in mice. More research is needed before findings can be translated to human treatments.
