The European Space Agency's Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer will perform its third gravity-assist maneuver on September 28, 2026, passing within 8,640 km of Earth over the Indian Ocean to adjust its trajectory and velocity by 20 degrees and 3.5 km/s respectively, setting it up for a final Earth flyby in January 2029 and Jupiter arrival in July 2031.
