Four DRC Health Zones Mark 42 Days With No New Ebola Infections

Four of 58 health zones in the Democratic Republic of Congo affected by the Ebola Bundibugyo outbreak—Kambala, Goma, Lubunga and Miti-Murhesa—have recorded no new cases in 42 days, while five additional zones have been case-free for at least three weeks. Uganda marked 42 Ebola-free days, marking the end of its outbreak.

The 42-day milestone marks the end of transmission in these zones only; the outbreak continues in other DRC health zones, with three provinces reporting the highest incidence.
