Days-old hippo 'Bumpy' given second chance at wildlife sanctuary

A newborn hippo, orphaned in Kenya's Great Rift Valley after his mother's death, was rescued by Kenya Wildlife Service and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Now five months old, Bumpy is thriving at the Kaluku sanctuary, where he bonds closely with keepers and has begun socializing with other rescued hippos and buffaloes.
