ctDNA clearance predicts better outcomes in lung cancer treatment trial
Reported byNature Journal ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
In a trial of 202 people whose lung cancer could still be removed by surgery, a blood test taken during treatment showed who was likely to do well. Patients whose tumor DNA disappeared from their blood before surgery were far less likely to see the cancer return.
An early (phase 2) trial. Larger trials are needed before this blood test guides routine care.
