Bring on the drones: how a technology revolution is being rolled out across Africa's nature reserves

The Connected Conservation Foundation has installed state-of-the-art technology systems across African parks protecting nearly 10 million hectares since 2015, and is now training conservation professionals from 11 African countries—from Benin to Madagascar—in a new online and in-person course for protected area technicians. Parks equipped with tech solutions including thermal drones, camera traps, GPS collars, and EarthRanger software show improved safety, biodiversity, and community relationships.
