Algeria inaugurates 300 MW solar project
Reported bypv magazine ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
Algeria's El Oued Foullia solar station, a 300 MW facility, has been switched on and is the country's largest operational solar project to date. It is the third large-scale solar project commissioned in Algeria this year, following 200 MW plants at Tendla and El-Ghrous.
Solar will meet only part of Algeria's energy needs. The project is part of a broader national renewable energy program targeting 15 GW of solar by 2035.
