Reported byThe Better India ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
Tree-transplantation expert Bharat Sisodia rescued a 100-year-old peepal tree in Ahmedabad that had been cut down to a 6-7 foot stump by using a 50-tonne crane to move it two kilometres to a new location, where it has begun showing new growth.
The tree's long-term survival in its new location remains to be seen.
