Walmart's 400 kW EV charging network just hit 100 stores

Walmart has opened its 100th company-owned EV fast-charging site at a Supercenter in Monument, Colorado, bringing its network to 100 stores across 20 states with eight charging plugs capable of delivering up to 400 kW. The hardware comes from ABB E-mobility and Alpitronic, with software built in-house by Walmart Global Tech, integrated into the Walmart app.
Most current EVs cannot yet accept the full 400 kW; actual charge speeds vary by vehicle. Walmart originally planned thousands of chargers at its 5,200+ US locations by 2030.
