Thomas Huber Clears Up Doubts About His Latest First Ascent in Pakistan
Reported byExplorersWeb ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
German climber Thomas Huber, with Spanish partners Victor Sans and Miquel Mas, completed a new 600-meter route on the 5,700m Biacherahi Central's north summit in Pakistan's Karakorum range from August 1–4, establishing a first ascent they named Wild Soul with difficulties up to 7a A2+.
Previous expeditions had climbed lower summits in the Biacherahi group; the first ascent claim applies specifically to the north summit.
Goodlede runs a two-pass source check on every story: one pass finds it, a second skeptical pass re-verifies the claim and writes what it doesn’t prove. This is a source check, not an independent fact-check — confirm anything important at the link above.
