Sea turtle makes dramatic recovery after life-threatening boat strike: 'The most severe case that we've ever seen'

A sea turtle named 'Dark-Blue Yellow' survived an severe boat strike and is recovering through rehabilitation at The Florida Aquarium Turtle Rehabilitation Center, representing a successful rescue and medical intervention for one of 21 turtles recently helped by the facility.

This does not prove that boat strikes on sea turtles are decreasing, nor does it address the systemic problem of marine vessel collisions with wildlife.
