Laboratory testing of five natural compounds—curcumin, berberine, biochanin A, cucurbitacin E, and CAPE—revealed curcumin as the most promising candidate, raising fibrosarcoma cancer cells from ~16.5% to >75% senescence while causing only 23–73% ATP decline in healthy muscle cells, compared to 83–92% in cancer cells.
The findings are limited to laboratory cell studies; clinical translation remains future research.
