'Rez Cop' comedy series explores reality of Indigenous life

A six-part comedy series created and co-produced by Leigh George premiered August 22, 2026, on the Kettle and Stony Point First Nation in Canada, with a cast mostly from the community. The series follows a police officer returning to his community from the city and was filmed on location with support from the Ontario Arts Council and community businesses.

The series is currently touring First Nations before seeking broadcast partners; it has not yet secured wide distribution.
