Rescued sea turtle released into the Atlantic after 200 days of recovery
Reported bybbc.com ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
Crush, a loggerhead turtle found malnourished and hypothermic on a Jersey beach after Storm Goretti in January, was released into the North Atlantic off the Azores on Tuesday evening after six months of care at Weymouth's Sea Life centre, along with two other rescued loggerheads, Eden and Tiree. The turtle has been fitted with a satellite transmitter to track her journey.
The satellite tag will eventually stop transmitting; the team will be unable to track the turtle's movements after that point.
