During the first race of the China GT in Shanghai, driver Ollie Millroy crashed in a Ferrari that burst into flames and lost consciousness. Rival driver Loek Hartog, 23, from the Netherlands, immediately stopped, grabbed a fire extinguisher from an official, put out the flames, and pulled the injured driver from the wreckage.
Millroy sustained six broken ribs, a broken collar bone, a broken hand and finger, and a punctured lung, plus a small neck fracture requiring rehabilitation.
