This Nova Scotian just ran his first marathon. He trained for it by eating donairs
Reported byCBC Canada ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
David Wadden, 29, ran and biked to 59 donair shops across Halifax, eating and rating each donair, then running or biking back home. He completed the 42.2-kilometre Valley Harvest Marathon two weeks ago, despite having no running background before this year. He raised over $2,200 for Feed Nova Scotia through the project.
Goodlede runs a two-pass source check on every story: one pass finds it, a second skeptical pass re-verifies the claim and writes what it doesn’t prove. This is a source check, not an independent fact-check — confirm anything important at the link above.
