Meet the hairy-legged, red-eyed sea spiders new to science

Researchers at the University of British Columbia discovered two new sea spider species in the Salish Sea and documented them in a study published in Organisms Diversity & Evolution — the first sea spider species described in that region in almost a century. The findings help fill a significant knowledge gap about poorly understood marine invertebrates.
