Researchers at IIT Guwahati have developed a rotating-anode electrocoagulation reactor that removes up to 98.2% of arsenate and 91.8% of fluoride from contaminated groundwater within minutes, with an estimated operating cost of just Rs 18 to Rs 58 per 1,000 litres of treated water.
