Jayclyn Morrissette, 32, pulled a toddler from the Red River at St. John's Park on Aug. 24 after noticing the child flailing in the water, then jumped in again to rescue the child's father, who had also jumped in and was not resurfacing. She and her neighbour performed CPR before first responders arrived; the girl was taken to hospital in critical condition and is now expected to make a full recovery.
