Giant new dinosaur discovered beneath construction site in Brazil

Dasosaurus tocantinensis, a newly identified dinosaur species measuring about 20 meters long and living 120 million years ago, was discovered during construction work in Maranhão state, northeastern Brazil. Its closest known relative lived in Spain, suggesting ancestors crossed ancient land connections between Europe, Africa, and South America through Gondwana.
