Gander gave Americans a lift on 9/11. 25 years later, it was the other way around

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, a Royal Newfoundland Regiment military band's vehicle broke down at a Mary Brown's Chicken restaurant in Gander, N.L. while heading to a commemorative service. A tour bus operated by American tour company Prime Tours owner Lisa Busch, carrying 14 American tourists from Ohio, picked up the band members and their instruments and drove them to the ceremony on time.

The encounter was coincidental; the tour bus was already in Gander for the anniversary and happened to be at the same location when the breakdown occurred.
