Flagship Restoration Project in Brazil's Cerrado Savannah Working to Restore 4.4 Million Acres

The Araticum Initiative is restoring 4.4 million acres of Brazil's Cerrado savannah, the biologically richest savannah in the world with more plant and animal species than any other ecosystem, after half of it was cleared or converted to agriculture; the project was recently honored at a UN conference as one of the three most ambitious and impactful ecosystem-scale restoration efforts currently underway globally.
