Five more conditions can now be treated at pharmacies in England
Reported byBBC Health ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
England is expanding pharmacist prescribing to cover five additional common conditions—migraines, acne, ear infections, scabies, and blocked noses—on top of seven conditions already covered since 2024. The expanded Pharmacy First scheme, which has delivered 14 million consultations since launch, will initially roll out across hundreds of pharmacies with gradual expansion to thousands across England.
Initially a few hundred chemists will offer the new services; full rollout to thousands of pharmacies will happen gradually.
