Reported byWAGM Northern Maine Community ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
After a Saturday fire displaced residents from 8 apartments in Presque Isle, Maine, local businesses and organizations mobilized to provide aid: Aroostook Trusses offered free gas fill-ups, Fern & Forest Baking provided free breakfast, HUB Coffee gave free coffee and bagels, Northbound Hounds rescue supplied pet food, and Moments of Grace coordinated donations and connected families with ACAP, the Pregnancy Center, and the Career Center for work clothes and other assistance.
Goodlede runs a two-pass source check on every story: one pass finds it, a second skeptical pass re-verifies the claim and writes what it doesn’t prove. This is a source check, not an independent fact-check — confirm anything important at the link above.
