BMW's new i3 drives 753 miles on a single charge
Reported byElectrek ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
In a BMW endurance test, the long-wheelbase i3 50L built for China covered 753 miles (1,213 km) on one charge across highway, city and rural roads. It runs on BMW's new sixth-generation battery cells, which hold over 20% more energy than the last generation.
This was BMW's own test of a China-market model, and it's a BMW record, not a world record. The US i3 is rated at up to 468 miles.
