Angola: A Letter from Our CEO

Rainforest Trust is partnering with Fundação Lisima and explorer Steve Boyes to protect Angola's central highlands—intact Miombo woodlands, high-altitude peatlands, and source lakes—which supply water to the Okavango Delta (home to half the world's elephant population) and the Zambezi, Southern Africa's largest river. The region, called the Angola Water Tower, was identified as critical to the continent's hydrology and biodiversity after Paul Allen's team investigated Boyes's exploration findings.
