Satellites on Fire, an Argentine startup founded in 2020, monitors 92 million hectares across 21 countries and uses AI to analyze satellite imagery, ground cameras, drones, weather systems and lightning detection to alert emergency responders to wildfires. The platform assisted with more than 2,000 wildfires in 2025 and has been adopted by Argentina's National Firefighters Council across 70 fire stations.
The company aims to expand monitoring to 446 million hectares by 2030; this goal is not yet achieved.
