The nonprofit 9/11 Day launched Together We Grow with One Tree Planted on September 9, planting a 15-foot willow oak in Battery Park's newly reopened Labyrinth of Contemplation. A year-long campaign will plant 3,000 new trees nationwide to honor the 2,977 victims of 9/11, with support from AmeriCorps and dozens of nonprofit partners as part of a broader goal to generate one million good deeds by September 11.
