Volkswagen put 100 sheep to work under 31,000 solar panels

Volkswagen's 18.3-megawatt solar farm in Poznań, Poland, now uses 100 sheep to graze beneath 31,000 solar panels instead of mechanical mowing, combining agrivoltaics with scientific research through Poznań University of Life Sciences to study how sheep grazing affects animal welfare, biodiversity, soil quality, and microclimate coexistence with large-scale solar generation.
