'Stewards of the land': Cape Breton groups heralded for salmon conservation efforts

Atlantic salmon populations in Cape Breton Highlands National Park reached 75 spawning adults for the first time in 30 years, a recovery milestone achieved through a seven-year Parks Canada initiative called Respectful Returns that has restored over 65,000 hectares of land and 228 kilometres of waterways across seven national parks.
