The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam has completed digitization of 840,000 works of art and made them freely available online for download, sharing, and editing, including masterpieces by Rembrandt and Vermeer from the 17th century.
An earlier version of this article appeared in 2021; the museum has since expanded its digitized collection from 361,000 to 840,000 works.
