Ninth Circuit Rejects Industry Challenge to SoCal Clean Air Rule for Boilers

Southern California's zero-emission boiler and water heater rule will reduce smog-forming nitrogen oxide pollution by 5.6 tons per day across more than 1.3 million pieces of equipment, with modeling showing it will prevent 2,800 early deaths, 11,800 asthma cases, and 300,000 lost school/work days while yielding $95 billion in health benefits.
