Monkeys are surprisingly good at geometry

Olive baboons and rhesus macaques at New York's Seneca Park Zoo demonstrated geometric reasoning comparable to human preschoolers and adults, with a new study in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences finding that monkeys, children, and adults process geometric relationships in fundamentally the same way.
