Less invasive heart bypass surgery just as good as traditional method, Canadian-led study finds

A Canadian-led randomized trial of 170 heart bypass patients across six countries (2018–2024) published in The Lancet found that minimally invasive bypass surgery is as safe as the traditional open-chest procedure while patients recovered faster, needed fewer blood transfusions, and spent less time on breathing machines.
