Bald eagle Shadow and new female KD1 sing a morning song together
Reported byPopular Science ↗·Sourced by Goodlede
Internet-famous bald eagle Shadow and a new female eagle named KD1 greeted the sunrise with song in Big Bear Valley on August 14, singing together while millions watched via livestream run by nonprofit Friends of Big Bear Valley. KD1, born in 2022 about 70 miles away, has recently been spotted inspecting the nest and spending time near Shadow.
It is still too early to know if Shadow and KD1 will form a breeding pair; flying around Big Bear is normal behavior for young adult eagles at this time of year.
